About InnerFlow Press

An independent educational imprint dedicated to closing the wellness literacy gap for children, families, and schools.

Our Story

Why InnerFlow Press Exists

InnerFlow Press was founded by Dr. Jackie Wilson, PhD, to help close a gap that affects millions of children and families: the wellness literacy gap.

Children are expected to manage stress, emotions, sleep, focus, relationships, and increasingly complex daily demands long before they are ever taught how those systems actually work.

We teach children how to read, solve equations, and prepare for exams, yet rarely teach them how to understand their brain, body, behavior, or relationships.

InnerFlow Press exists to change that.

The First Series

What Is It to Be Well?

The flagship InnerFlow Press series, What Is It to Be Well?, transforms complex wellness concepts into age appropriate stories, interactive learning experiences, and practical educational tools for children, families, and educators.

Built around the 4 Bs of Being Well — Brain, Body, Behavior, and Bonds — the series helps young learners build foundational wellness literacy through stories that are gentle, engaging, and meaningful.

The Creator

Jacquelyn Wilson, PhD

InnerFlow Press was created by Jacquelyn “Dr. Jackie” Wilson, PhD, a wellness educator, consultant, former Division I athlete, and founder of InnerFlow Family Wellness.

With academic training in kinesiology, sport management, business, behavior, and wellness, Dr. Jackie brings a uniquely interdisciplinary perspective to children’s education, performance, and whole person development.

Her work bridges science, education, and practical real world application to make wellness concepts easier for children and families to understand and apply.

The Creation

The Founder-Built Story

What began as a single book quickly evolved into something much larger.

In just over 100 days, InnerFlow Press grew from an idea into a 13 title educational series spanning picture books, upper readers, reflection tools, and wellness resources.

This founder led creative process reflects both the urgency of the mission and the growing demand for better wellness education.

The Vision

The Story Continues

InnerFlow Press is only the beginning.

The long term vision includes expanded book cycles, educator guides, classroom resources, curriculum aligned learning tools, school partnerships, and scalable wellness literacy initiatives designed to reach children far beyond traditional publishing.

The mission is simple but ambitious: make wellness literacy foundational life education, not a privilege.
